Electroless Nickel
Explore Frost Electroplating’s electroless nickel plating services, designed to meet high standards of durability, corrosion resistance, and surface uniformity. Unlike traditional electroplating methods, electroless nickel plating provides an even coating over complex shapes and recessed surfaces. This makes it ideal for important engineering components. Our process improves wear resistance, hardness, and longevity without sacrificing precision. With decades of experience and modern facilities, Frost Electroplating ensures reliable and consistent results for industries like aerospace, automotive, defence, and manufacturing.
Electroless nickel plating
Electroless nickel plating is a flexible process for coating both metal and non-metal surfaces, like ceramics and glass. Our coatings create stable surfaces that resist corrosion and chemicals, achieving hardness levels of up to 1000 Hv. We can also ensure even coating thicknesses in recesses and blind holes.
Our team at Frost Electroplating has created coatings that meet RoHS and REACH regulations for customers needing compliance. To improve solderability and lower contact resistance, we finish electroless nickel with immersion gold.

Our electroless nickel coating services include:
- Medium Phosphorous provides a standard RoHS-compliant finish for most applications, along with the option of a non-RoHS-compliant mirror finish.
- High Phosphorous offers a non-magnetic coating with strong corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, and hardness up to 1000Hv.
- Immersion Gold adds a thin layer of gold on top of the nickel coating to improve electrical properties.
