Upon receiving an opportunity to tender for subcontract Ni & Au business from a large UK Ceramic Manufacturer, Frost Electroplating faced a challenge. Discussions with Frost's management team revealed concerns about the lack of a supply chain in Europe due to their Dutch supplier's recent administration.

The plating of PZT ceramic, in particular, presented significant difficulties, resulting in a scarcity of suppliers. However, Frost's technical department undertook extensive research into Ni plating PZT ceramic material.

Within a remarkable timeframe of just 4 weeks from the initial contact, a dedicated plant was constructed to accommodate the in-house developed process. Full-scale production ensued swiftly, not only meeting the current weekly export requirements but also resolving the outstanding balance, all through the innovative application of ceramic metal coatings.
