ISO14001 is an internationally recognized standard that is awarded to companies who operate an environmental management system (EMS), which reduces their impact on the environment, through a process of continual improvement. The standard requires the identification of all aspects of their business that affect the environment, as well as any legal requirements. Improvement objectives are set, acted on and reviewed in order to continually reduce the environmental impact.
Frost has operated such an EMS, without the accreditation for nearly 20 years, which has achieved considerable savings, as well as helping the environment. This work has been acknowledged by Envirowise, who have worked with Frost to produce case studies to promulgate the reductions achieved.
The ISO14001 certification audit was carried out by British Standards Institute. Frost was assisted by the consultancy E9 Limited using their Evole14K1 software and support as part of an Automotive Task Force Project funded by MAS-WM
